JUNO throws a party in the street!
Our favorite neighborhood salon, JUNO, will be partying it up today at their 8th and Lincoln store from 4 to 6 pm.
The salon will host a DJ, and be handing out fun hair tips, discounts, and free water bottles - which we can definitely use in today's muggy weather!
So stop by and wait out the rush-hour traffic at JUNO - you'll walk out looking even more fabulous than when you walked in. What more could you ask for?

Safety is sexy
We all know condoms are one of the best and most cost-effective ways to protect yourself from STDs pregnancy. But did you know they also make a fashion statement? Inhabitat picked up on an apparently increasing fashion trend of using latex condoms to create clothing.
And these are so much more than boudoir-specific attire. Condom dresses are appearing all over the internet and even in some fashion shows. Many of the designs are downright beautiful.

And while we're not quite sure we buy that these ensembles are "eco-friendly" (unless they're made with expired or - gag - used condoms), they certainly ARE fascinating. And definitely make a statement about safer sex and how it can be beautiful and sexy.

There's even video … no lie! Along with your groin they show you how to shave your head, chest, back and armpits.
Check it out and like they say, "trimming the bush makes the tree look taller."

Are you ready to put this on?

"Dip died" Coroyal swim shorts from Diesel (available at www.internationaljock.com).
If you're not ready to take off your shirt, then you HAVE to hit Bodylab's ab class. They're at 101 Broadway and if you don't get results from this class … throw in the towel! PrideFest is about 4 weeks away!

Mas para Cinco de Mayo

Even though my last name is Montoya, suffice to say my Spanish no es bueno. I'm from that generation where my parents as well all of my aunts and uncles didn't teach or generation to speak Spanish. Unfortunate but true – so the Spanish I did learn was in school and for some reason my Spanish gets better after a couple of margaritas! Yo no se?
But I speak enough Spanish to know the words, "Grande," "Caliente" and "Lindo."
These guys are hot and their shirts are hotter and you can get them at www.gaytshirt.com.
Que bueno, verdad?

Looking forward to spring with Lilly Pulitzer
Spring and summer isn't too far away and the goddess of all things pretty, Lilly Pulitzer has a spring/summer line that allows your mind to forget what's going on in the world to day and be fancy and carefree – you can't help it. Take a look at the little Fiesta dress and the Charles blazer – totally fun!
Fifty years worth of cheery, campy Lilly Pulitzer prints have become shorthand for spring and summer fashion.

Some are sweet - flowers and palm trees - and others are sassy - streakers and martini glasses - but there's never been a print repeated for a second season.
They're similar enough, though, that they're all recognizable as Lillys. The common thread often are the bright shades of pink, yellow, green and blue that originally covered up Pulitzer's fruit stains when she was squeezing juice at a stand in Palm Beach, Fla.
The AP asked the company's current creative director Janie Schoenborn to pick out a hit parade of prints:

- Jubilee Patch, a checkerboard of all the most popular motifs, ranging from tigers to toile. There's more pink, green and yellow than you'd find in most Easter baskets.
- Ring My Bell, a pink, white and two-tone green print that recreates in colorful style the curlycues of the ironwork of the gate in front of Pulitzer's home in the 1960s.
- Streaker, a classic rule-breaker print with naked male and female cartoonish bodies set among pop-art waves of green, hot pink and blue, as well as oversized floating flowers in orange and pink. From a distance, you can't see the specifics of the print, says Schoenborn, so it was a way for Pulitzer's social set to be a little edgy without everyone knowing it.
- An ode to Disney, an explosion of Mickeys and Minnies in pink, green and yellow, from the early '70s as Disney World was opening in Orlando - a very big deal in Florida. Even then, Schoenborn says, Disney had very particular rules about using Mickey Mouse's likeness.
- Color by Numbers, an oversized floral in mostly dark pink and white with touches of green, is new this spring. There's an outline of a blooming garden with only portions filled in. Even though it's the finished print, it still looks like a work in progress. (AP)
